What is SurCord®?

SurCord® is an injectable to aid in joint support and cushioning. Our minimally manipulated manufacturing process allows for the highest quality cord product on the market. It is cryopreserved to retain the natural properties and benefits of the umbilical cord.

Common Treatments

Over time our joints and the natural cushion that supports them begins to degenerate. SurCord® replenishes this natural barrier and its high HA concentration aids in the body's healing process.

Joint Pain Management

Joint pain is often caused by degeneration or damage of the body's articular joint cartilage. SurCord® covers and protects the articular cartilage which aids in pain management.

The use of cord tissue as a treatment modality in podiatry is increasing due to recent studies showing therapeutic benefits from its high concentration of heavy chain-hyaluronic acid.

Due to the cord tissue's natural supportive properties it has been shown to aid in the management of damaged soft tissues by providing a protective barrier.

Product Information

SurCord® is a minimally manipulated cord tissue allograft designed to be the highest quality cord product on the market today. It is an injectable allograft for homologous use only. SurCord® is thoroughly screened for safety by accredited tissue recovery agencies. Our donor serology test panel is the most extensive in the industry, testing for several potential pathogens that could be missed by less extensive testing observed in competitive industry products. SURGENEX® conducts a 14-day sterility test performed by a third-party lab, to confirm our products are free of bacterial and fungal contaminants. These safety barriers verify that SurCord® is the cleanest and safest cord tissue allograft product on the market.

Regenerative Medicine Vs. Surgery

Have you been diagnosed with bone on bone knee osteoarthritis? Here are 2 of the major treatment options available. One is invasive and one non-invasive.*

Chronic Knee Pain? Which Phase Are You?

Almost 10% of the United States population suffers from symptomatic knee osteoarthritis by the age of 60. Image A. shows a normal knee of a younger person. Note the spacing in the joint. Image D shows advanced degeneration of the knee which may require surgery. As we age, our joints degenerate and so do the stem cells in our bodies which regenerate our cartilage, muscle and bone which can no longer keep the pace required to maintain a healthy joint. Knee pain is often caused by wear and tear and activities such as golf, tennis or skiing. Your orthopedic physician/surgeon will often suggest invasive knee surgery to resolve chronic knee pain but it is important to know there is an alternative. Stem cell knee injections are fast becoming the answer to resolving acute and chronic knee pain as an alternative to knee replacement surgery.
